And hopefully for good.

2024 was a strange year for us. Day jobs and PTO were not kind, so we made the choice to stay home and do things nearby.

That meant no Kentucky Derby or Kentucky Derby Festival for us. It was another year of not being on the Belle of Louisville for the Great Steamboat Race.

But 2024 got even stranger. We made the decision to move… and the location <drum roll please!> Louisville, Kentucky. We are back home for good. With that, it means new jobs, new schedules, and pretty much new everything.

Now that we are settling in to live in the ‘ville, we are turning our attention to being here to enjoy everything that the Kentucky Derby Festival is (within reason, new jobs, no PTO).

As of now, we plan to bring you great photos from Thunder Over Louisville from the Belle of Louisville. It’s such a great viewing spot.

We hope to cover all of the ballooning events, spend more time at Kroger’s Fest-a-ville℠ and the Chow Wagon, the Pegasus® Parade, Great Bed Races, and the Steamboat Race. We have stretch goals of getting to the Taste of Derby Festival® and the Ken-Ducky Derby.
